Trail Description 16 miles of trails through woods alond shoreline, 8+ miles natural sufaced roads. No vehicular traffic, no hunting except 3 weekends per year (Check COE website for dates)

Campground Most sites pull through, all are shady and waterfront with highlines at each, central handpump, primitive bathrooms. Boat ramp nearby--all sites accessible by boat also. Bed and barn about 20min away. $6/night. Day use FREE

Directions I-20 east to exit 172 (Thomson exit Hwy 17) Turn LEFT off exit toward Lincolnton/ Washington. Go approx 2 miles to HWY 43. Turn RIGHT onto hwy 43 just after church. Continue on Hwy 43 to HWY 220. Turn RIGHT onto 220. At first stop, turn LEFT-- this will still be 220. Cross Hwy 47 at Cliatts Crossing store. At next stop sign, turn RIGHT onto Double Branches Road. Continue straight, pavement will end. The road will deadend into the day parking area for the trails.

(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
